Business Angel Network Southeast Asia (BANSEA)

BANSEA’s vision: to foster a vibrant startup ecosystem in which angel investors fund entrepreneurs who eventually become angels themselves.

Our primary mission: to facilitate good deals between our members and seed-stage startups: not just financing but mentoring and connections too.  We also grow the angel investment community in Asia through educational workshops, research, conferences, and networking sessions with international angel groups.

Our members' investment focus: innovative seed and early stage companies seeking investment ranging from $100K to $1M.   These companies should demonstrate scalable business models, distinctive sustainable competitive advantages and high growth potential.  Targeted industry sectors include internet technologies, interactive digital media, info-communication technologies and unique consumer products etc.  Deal proximity is one of the  factors that members consider but there has been an increasing trend of cross-border deals done.
BANSEA is also the founding organiser of Asian Business Angel Forum (ABAF) which was firstly held in Singapore in 2010 and subsequently in Shanghai in 2011.

Since 2007, BANSEA Members have invested about S$18 million in 79 startup companies.
