Technology Commercialization Programmes

NUS Faculty of Engineering is making advances in many areas of research and breaking new ground by inventing capabilities that have not been known to humanity previously. The intent of these Technology Commercialization programs is to help researchers integrate market input into their research and develop paths to creating significant value for customers.

Technology Venture Lab is specifically designed for Engineering Faculty members, graduate and PhD students who are working with a new technology and want to explore its market potential. It is an intensive action learning experience to identify how a technology can create value in the marketplace.

The LaunchPad Programme is designed for technologies that have demonstrated its potential to create an impact in a large market. LaunchPad is an intense action learning experience that is organized as a project course where teams of engineering and business graduate students work through a semester to build a company based on selected NUS technologies. The inventors serve as technical PIs for the teams. The intent is to advance the technology one step forward on its path to successful commercialization.
