InnovFest is a festival of innovation-related activities that aims to boost investments, technology transfer and networking within Asia’s finance, business and technology communities. Organised by NUS Enterprise, the 2011 InnovFest will be held on 19 April 2011 at the National University of Singapore Society Kent Ridge Guild House. InnovFest comprises the Technology Commercialisation Forum and The Enterprise Connection.
Technology Commercialisation Forum (TCF)
This is a premier event in Asia that brings academia, researchers, industry professionals, investors and entrepreneurs together for discussion and debate. It provides a platform to examine trends and key issues involved in commercialising inventions in and beyond the emerging economies of Asia. During the TCF opening ceremony, the Xtra Chapter Challenge awards will be given out. This is an award programme that provides PhD students with the opportunity to explore the commercial feasibility of their thesis inventions and discoveries. TCF is organised by the NUS Industry Liaison Office, a division of NUS Enterprise.
The Enterprise Connection (TEC)
Hosted by NUS Enterprise, this networking dinner is a valuable opportunity for entrepreneurs, inventors, investors and other key stakeholders in NUS Enterprise’s global network to meet, connect and share ideas. The inaugural Innovation & Enterprise Award will be given out during the 2011 TEC. This award recognizes individuals and companies within the NUS community who have achieved significant accomplishments in innovation and entrepreneurship, or who have contributed to the development of innovation and entrepreneurship in Singapore in the recent years.
