In Dec 2009, the NRF selected 7 incubators under the Technology Incubation Scheme to help nurture early stage high-tech start-ups in Singapore. These incubators will also provide mentorship to the start-up companies in their portfolio.

Need funding support to set up your first startup? 

ACE will match $7 to every $3 raised by the entrepreneur for up to $50,000.

i.e. For an applicant to receive a grant of $50,000, applicant will need to raise $21,429 for co-matching.

For selected ventures, ACE will match $3 to every $7 raised by the entrepreneur for an additional $50,000. For these ventures, the total grant is capped at $100,000.

We encourage you to apply through the NUS Enterprise Incubator (NEI) if you are NUS affiliated (applicant is a student / staff / alumni of NUS or licensing NUS technologies). We can offer you advice on setting up a business, and applications supported by NEI will benefit from a ‘green lane’ status.

The Joyful Frog Digital Incubator (JFDI.Asia) is a privately-owned, for-profit innovation company based in Singapore. They connect people, communities and cash to turn ideas into sustainable, valuable businesses.

JFDI.Asia’s principal activity is operating a 100-day startup to seed investment accelerator program which is the first SE Asia member of the prestigious global TechStars network. This program is supported by SingTel Innov8, a syndicate of business angels and two Singapore government agencies: MDA and SPRING Singapore. 

SingTel Innov8 (Innov8), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the SingTel Group, is a corporate venture capital fund, with its own set of decision making, approval and funding processes.

In July 2008, the NRF launched the Early Stage Venture Funding Scheme (ESVF), which seeded 6 VC funds to provide early stage investment for Singapore-based technology start-ups. Proof of Concept (POC) grants are competitive grants used to prove technology ideas at the conceptualization stage.  It is recognized that there are risks in the early R&D efforts of innovative technologies and thus, government agencies such as SPRING and NRF utilize POC grants to boost entrepreneurs’ efforts to commercialise their R&D.

Receive a grant of up to S$55,000 when you apply for the i.JAM (IDM Jump-start and Mentor) Micro-Funding Scheme through NUS Enterprise Incubator (NEI).

In order to support the needs of aspiring researchers, inventors and entrepreneurs who are venturing into these fields, NUS Enterprise Incubator (NEI) has set up a dedicated cleantech incubator that will provide mentorship, facilities and funding resources.

The Incubator for Disruptive Enterprise and Start-ups (IDEAS) Fund is an incubator fund for early-stage start-up companies. The fund focuses on identifying and guiding through the early stages, start-ups with disruptive innovation potential. About $500,000 to $600,000 is placed on each investment, in companies across a variety of sectors.

fLO is an internationalisation platform for promising start-ups to gain entry into global markets. An initiative by the NUS Enterprise Incubator (NEI), fLO start-ups can gain access to hot-desking opportunities overseas, experienced mentors, funding and NUS Enterprise’s global network.

Accel-X Pte Ltd, is a venture capital fund that invests into early stage technology companies that are highly scalable. Led by Mr Edmund Yong, Accel-X has more than 20 years of investment and portfolio management experience. The fund helps young technology firms to finance their expansion into viable markets, provides further value-add via hands-on mentoring and injection of operational capabilities.
