The Call for the 2012 Innovation & Enterprise Award (I&E Award) is now open!

 

Outstanding NUS Innovator Award

  • Do you know anyone who has been successful in licensing or commercialising an innovation in recent years? 
  • If he/she is NUS staff/ex-staff, students or alumni, nominate him/her for the Outstanding NUS Innovator Award.
  • Winners will receive a cash prize of $10,000 and a trophy. 

 

Promising NUS Start-up Award

  • Are you part of a promising innovative start-up company?
  • If your company has utilised NUS technologies, been incubated by NUS Enterprise or was founded by an NUS staff/ex-staff, student and alumnus, you could apply for the Promising NUS Start-up Award.
  • Winners will receive a cash prize of up to $100,000 and a trophy. 

 

The closing date for nominations/applications of the I&E Award is 15 February 2012.

Co-organised with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, this public lecture by Professor Muhammad Yunus will address the challenges of creating a supportive environment for social businesses. Addressing civil society and government bodies, Professor Yunus will illustrate how social business can play a partnering role in addressing the social needs of a country, and also suggest policy frameworks that will be conducive for the growth of such businesses.

The event will be followed by a networking dinner.

Co-organised with the Raffles Institution, this public lecture by Professor Muhammad Yunus is targeted at students in secondary schools and junior colleges.

Today’s youth have enormous capabilities. They grow up with the power of technology and they will be able to use these new possibilities to solve some of the most pressing social problems globally. During this public lecture, Prof. Yunus will share his experiences about the potential of social business and he will discuss with the young people the various opportunities on how to get involved.
